Department of Energy Engineering started it's operation on 1.1.2008 when TKK's administrative re-organization combined laboratories of Applied Thermodynamics, Energy Engineering and Environmental Protection, Heating Ventilating and Air-Conditioning, Energy Economics and Power Plant Engineering and Internal Combustion Engine to one department.
